Sara Oehler Brings BSBP6 & Soft Flex to Jewel School

Sara Oehler, Author, Instructor, Jewelry Artist and Expert Designer

Sara Oehler will be Jewel School's expert guest artist August 15th and 16th, bringing amazing colors and choices in Soft Flex beading wire for stringing, cool beading wire color trios, and even 20 gauge craft wire for wire arts. Ms. Oehler will also bring some of the fun of Bead Soup Blog Party 6 as she wears her August 11th reveal jewelry creation on air! 

Sara shares the beautiful lavender BSBP6 reveal jewelry she will be wearing on Jewel School on her blog, "Soft Flex Girl"-- a sparkling ensemble of beaded beads and beadwork toggle created by her Bead Soup partner Sonya Ingersoll-Stille of Dreamin of Beads. Ingersoll-Stille's beadwork is gorgeous and Sara has designed stunning jewelry with the handcrafted focal and clasp! Bringing the Jewel School community and Bead Soup community together, Sara is doubling the fun of jewelry making!

Sara has designed and written for numerous publications including BeadStyle, BeadandButton, Bead Trends, and Stringing, and her book Show Your Colors , co-authored with Jamie Hogsett, was published in January of 2012. As “Ask Sara” of the Soft Flex® Company, she answers beading questions with her expertise and 13 years of experience with the Soft Flex Company.

The contest submission deadline is September 1, and Soft Flex is looking for designs using a knitting spool with Soft Flex Beading or Craft Wire. You can view previous year's jewelry submissions for the contest here. Sara will discuss knitting spools and how to use them on Jewel School this week.

  2. What a lovely article and thanks for including a link to my blog. I must say I am very excited that Sara is wearing what I created for her on the show. I have DVR'd it and will watch this evening. This BSBP was my first time using the Soft Flex wire and I am going to have to get some more, maybe in those new Autum and halloween colors.
