12 Days of Christmas Handemade Gift Swap

I am excited and beyond honored to be in!

The Twelve Days of Christmas Handmade Gift Swap hosted by Lorelei Eurto

Lorelei Eurto:

"I love the idea of gift giving, especially sweet handmade gifts. This year I wanted to ... have a group for beads and then a general gifts group too. I have been playing around with different ideas of how to go about the details and this is what I've come up with. I hope ya'all are excited!"

The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Swap is being hosted by jewelry artist extraordinaire and author Lorelei Eurto. Lorelei is an expert at creating and teaching asymmetrical jewelry, using "focal points strategically placed at any point on a necklace or bracelet [to] draw the eye around the entire piece" (Amazon, author biography). Lorelei is the author of the popular book, "Bohemian Inspired Jewelry: 50 Designs Using Leather, Ribbon, & Cords"  co-authored with Erin Siegal.

The gift swap will begin on Christmas day, and continue for 11 days. Two groups of participants -- one for components, pendants, beads and one for general handmade gifts -- will create 11 gifts for their group, and chronicle the gifts received on their blogs. In addition, a Flickr group will be created for photos of gifts after the reveals.

Group #1 will be for Components/Pendants/Beads- You will create by hand ( no store bought beads/components please)  11 beads or components and for 11 days, you'll open each component, and chronicle gifted beads on your blogs.

Group #2 will be general gifts- Since we all love handmade gifts, I suggest you make these gifts by hand, but they can be in any genre you like. Ornaments, Jewelry, prints, potholders, whatever you desire!  Be creative and give gifts that you would love to receive yourself.

What a list!
I'm thinking a lot about what handcrafted gifts I'll make, knowing that whether I give jewelry, cards, ornaments, or potholders, I'm adding a touch of Mexico to the fiesta. After all, this wonderful swap is very much like Día de Reyes!
