Seasons Blog Hop

Winter.

White
          Wild ice
Gentle snowflakes
          Moonlight
against tree branches,
          silhouettes
strong in the long night.

Sunlight
Reflected on snow
Glistening
an aurora borealis
          rainbow light.

Gray skies
          falling
across the landscape,
          falling
across the season
        In Song
in Glorious Adoration
Heralds heard on High,
         Angels
         Persephone.
         Demeter.

Gracing
the horizon, just beyond
       the swift sunset
darkness, a blanket of time

Each moment
Suspended
in its light and heat --

Winter.

  2. Ok, this is me, totally blown away. Not only by the wonderful poetry and images, but then to see your gorgeous design! The wirework is stunning all by itself on the focal, and then you added beads on the other side! I've never seen that done, and the sheer beauty of your necklace is just breathtaking. Well done, Rita, well done!!

  3. Oh .. wow .. I am not sure where to begin. The necklace is a perfect reminder of winter.

I cannot get over the reversible bezel, though. At first, I thought, "the wire wrapping is awesome." Then, I saw the next picture with the seed beading and wondered if it was a second necklace, lol.

I love that you incorporated both and find myself staring at the photos and wondering how you did it. I'll go with winter magic and leave it at that. :)

  11. Wow. Reading your posts is like going to the movies. Beautiful pictures, I can hear the words inside my head and even some music. How do you do that? And by the way, you also come up with some FABULOUS jewelry. That reversible pendent is sooooo sweet. I don't know which side I would wear "out" as I would feel the need to show both sides off! BRAVO ! ! !
