Winter.
White
Wild ice
Gentle snowflakes
Moonlight
against tree branches,
silhouettes
strong in the long night.
Sunlight
Reflected on snow
Glistening
an aurora borealis
rainbow light.
Gray skies
falling
across the landscape,
falling
across the season
In Song
in Glorious Adoration
Heralds heard on High,
Angels
Persephone.
Demeter.
Gracing
the horizon, just beyond
the swift sunset
darkness, a blanket of time
Each moment
Suspended
in its light and heat --
Winter.

The bezel is gorgeous! I love your photos and poetry. Well done Rita!
ReplyDeleteOk, this is me, totally blown away. Not only by the wonderful poetry and images, but then to see your gorgeous design! The wirework is stunning all by itself on the focal, and then you added beads on the other side! I've never seen that done, and the sheer beauty of your necklace is just breathtaking. Well done, Rita, well done!!
ReplyDeleteOh .. wow .. I am not sure where to begin. The necklace is a perfect reminder of winter.
ReplyDeleteI cannot get over the reversible bezel, though. At first, I thought, "the wire wrapping is awesome." Then, I saw the next picture with the seed beading and wondered if it was a second necklace, lol.
I love that you incorporated both and find myself staring at the photos and wondering how you did it. I'll go with winter magic and leave it at that. :)
Wonderful piece! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love how you did your post, and that bezel is absolutely stunning. Beautiful work,
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning creation! Love how you've repeated the flecked highlights from the focal in the beads of your chain. So many gorgeous details to take in!
ReplyDeleteThat is an absolutely beautiful representation of winter. What a wonderful design.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Di you write that poem? I love that you added the purple or twilight into what you were given. So inspirational.

ReplyDeleteHoly cow! I don't even have words for what I just saw! I'm in awe!
ReplyDeleteWow. Reading your posts is like going to the movies. Beautiful pictures, I can hear the words inside my head and even some music. How do you do that? And by the way, you also come up with some FABULOUS jewelry. That reversible pendent is sooooo sweet. I don't know which side I would wear "out" as I would feel the need to show both sides off! BRAVO ! ! !
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful winter necklace ! I love how you made the bezel reversible, it's such a neat idea !
ReplyDeleteRita - all I can say is WOW! Love the reversible focal pendant, love the pictures, love the poem, love it all. I am honored to be your friend, also! Thanks for being in the hop and giving everyone this treat for their senses!
